Marilyn Jo Ann Imhof, 77, of Keenesburg, Colorado, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton. She was born March 15, 1944 in Colorado to Leon Sr. and Evalyn M. (Knowlton) Zimbelman.
Marilyn was an amazing wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Family was so important to her; she loved to host and attend family gatherings spending time together. Her grandchildren were a huge part of her life, and she was so proud of them.
She loved playing Pinochle with her family and was pretty hard to beat at Ping Pong as well. She had a very successful home cake decorating business for years and enjoyed providing delicious cakes for special occasions.
Marilyn had played the accordion since she was young and even got to play on TV at an early age. She followed her dreams and formed a Dutchhop band called "Marilyn Imhof and the DutchHops". Her band played in Colorado and also traveled to many other states to perform. Her music was played on the radio for all to enjoy. Marilyn made many good friends in the Dutchhop & Polka community and loved to play beautiful music.
Marilyn will be remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dwayne Imhof; daughter, Ginette Ishida (Jeff); sons, Darrin Imhof and Steven Imhof; sister, Diana Sigg (Stan); brother, Leon Zimbelman (Margie); sister-in-law, Jill Zimbelman (Leroy); three grandchildren, Brett Imhof, Brek Ishida (Mikayla) and Briley Cale and her nieces and nephews, Jenny Swarts (Jason), Brian Zimbelman (Sarah), Ryan Sigg (Hannah), Jessica Cobb (Ryan), Caitie Zimbelman and Erin Haag (Steven). She is also survived by a large extended family with many loved ones that she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Sr. Zimbelman, mother, Evalyn Zimbelman, sisters, Janice Zimbelman and Janet Zimbelman and brother, Leroy Zimbelman.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, CO. Interment will follow at Linn Grove Cemetery.
