Martha Frances Manion, 81, of Greeley passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born November 8, 1939 to Hubert Francecs and Myrtle Ruth (Barnhart) Manion in Allendale, Missouri.
Martha drove a school bus for special ed children, loved the children and developed special relationships with them. Many grew up and knew her later in their lives in the community of Ft. Morgan where she lived at the time. She had a GED. She served on the City Council in her little community of Log Lane Village, just outside of Ft Morgan. She was very involved in the community, often volunteering in activities such as food or toy drives for children. She loved to garden and worked in her yard. She attended her water exercise classes regularly and was active as much as she could. She was loved by all, lived large, and was always busy.
Martha is survived by two children, her daughter, Dr. April Young, who is a mental health practitioner and her son James Cook, who is a truck driver. Her son has a daughter, Jennifer, who has a son, Nathanial. She has four living siblings, Ladonna, Veryl, Jerry, and Meredith. She has numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and even great-great-great nieces and nephews. All living here in Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Norma.
Martha loved animals, in lieu of flowers she would have liked it if you would make a contribution to your nearest Human Society and try to save a pet. Thank you.
