Martha Louise Witt of Greeley went into the arms of her Savior on December 27, 2011. She was born April 8, 1920 to Peter and Fanny Pearl (Dunkin) Wiedmer, in Olpe, Kansas.
Martha lived on the family farm along with her 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She graduated from Americus High School in Kansas, and worked at Stapleton Airport in her early 20’s.
On October 24, 1940, Martha married Max Witt in Denver, Colorado. She was a known to have outstanding homemaking skills, especially those shining kitchen floors! Her greatest accomplishment was the 71 years of marriage she credited to lots of help from the Lord!
Martha loved the Lord and walked with Him daily. She was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and working puzzles. She especially delighted in seeing her beloved large extended family.
She is survived by her husband, Max Witt of Greeley; daughter, Janice Binkley (Ed) of Greeley; son, Larry Witt of Hot Springs, South Dakota; sister, Polly Hoffman (Howard) of Spring Arbor, Michigan; brother, Jay Wiedmer (Louise) of Brighton; grandchildren, Russ Witt of Lawton, Oklahoma, Angela Willis (Mike) of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Dianna Gallegos (Joseph) of Lakewood, Ben Binkley (Sonia) of Aurora and Kevin Binkley (Chelsy) of Lincoln, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Danny Willis of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Amber Blake of Wheat Ridge, Madison Witt and Dakota Witt of Lawton, Oklahoma; Leah Binkley of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ivan Pacheco of Aurora; great-great-grandchildren, Karinda and Logan Willis; 24 nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and one brother.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
