Martin Antony Dankowski, 53, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, of a sudden heart attack at his home in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was born April 15, 1963 in Hitchin, England to Anneliese (Schaumloeffel) and Franciszek ""Frank"" Dankowski. He grew up with three loving older siblings - Annette, Krysia, and Frankie Dankowski. After completing high school, he earned a painting certificate from Luton College in Luton, England. He worked as a painter with the John Wilmott group in Hitchin, England until moving to Los Angeles, California in 1986 to be near his sister Krysia and her husband. Martin worked as a self-employed painter and decorator until working for the city of Culver City in 1995. He married Raina Ann Granger on April 10, 1993 in Los Angeles. Together they had three daughters, Cheyenne, Maya, and Tiyahna- whom he loved very much. Martin and his family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2004, and he began working at Colorado State University in the maintenance department. In 2009, Martin and Raina divorced. In recent years, Martin was diagnosed with a heart condition, which contributed to the serious health problems he dealt with throughout the rest of his life, including a stroke in March 2016. That however didn’t stop him from spending time with his daughters and continuing his favorite hobbies; such as fishing and making people laugh. He continued being the loving and caring father, son, and brother he always was until the day he passed.
