Martin Freddie Perez

Martin Freddie Perez, 58, of Greeley, entered into our Lord’s kingdom on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Denver Health Medical Center. He was born on April 12, 1960 in San Marcos, Texas to Crecensiano Perez and Eva Tienda.

Martin graduated from Greeley Central High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in the summer of 1977 until December 1980. On June 1, 1979, Martin achieved the rank of Private First Class.

On July 27, 1979, he married Kathy Sanchez. They were members of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Greeley.

Martin worked in construction and as a self-contractor. He played softball for Monfort and for Aguilar’s Concrete.

Martin is survived by his wife, Kathy Perez; daughter, Alisha (Cayetano) Ramirez; sons, Nickolas (Caitlin) Perez and Eziekcuo Perez; sisters, Juanita (Tex) Garcia, Sally Perez and Mary (Michael) Gonzalez; brothers, Jesse Perez and Ruben (Celia) Perez and grandchildren, Joseph Perez and Cayetano and Jude Ramirez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Crecensiano and Eva Tienda Perez, sister, Victoria Benevides, brother, Filimon (Mary) Perez and grandson, Gabriel Perez.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 followed by a Liturgical service at 9:30 a.m. both at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley.
