Mary Ellen was one of the most courageous women I have known.  Her spirit and grace during her long ordeal was inspiring.  In addition she always was concerned about others and tried to deflect attention from herself.
 I got to know her best as a volunteer on Ride the Rockies and looked forward every year to spending that week with her, Joe and Debbie.
They were certainly part of the RTR family.
The world has lost a bright light with the passing of Mary Ellen.
