Mary Lou Hall

Mary Lou Ida Becker (Hall) was born in Darien Wisconsin on December 1, 1927 and raised in Marshfield Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Ervin and Viola Becker. When Mary Lou’s parents and 3 younger brothers moved to Portland Oregon, Mary Lou stayed in Marshfield Wisconsin with her grandmother and finished high school. Shortly after, she moved to Ripon Wisconsin and started college at Ripon College.

While at Ripon, she met and fell in love with Allen K. Hall, and they were married in Portland on July 5, 1947. Allen attended Ripon College, then joined the Army and fought during WWII in the European theatre. After the war, he finished his degree at Ripon College.

Mary Lou followed her husband’s military career, living in Germany, US and Panama. After the military, Allen began a career at IBM in Boulder Colorado.

Along with following Allen’s career, Mary Lou spent most of her time raising their three daughters. As the girls grew and left the home, Mary Lou continued to volunteer in the Girl Scouts. She was also involved at Northern Colorado hospital as a volunteer, Bookworms, 3rd Order of St Francis and Daughters of the King. She started the St. Anne’s chapter of Daughters of the King at Trinity Episcopal church.

Mary Lou also found the love of painting, a passion that started when she was in her late 60’s. She also had a green thumb and when they bought their first house in Boulder in 1968, she started gardening. She grew and canned a variety of vegetables and had a house full of green plants and maintained this practice the rest of her life.

Mary Lou is preceded by the death of her husband Allen, her daughter (Pamela Jane Jones), two brothers (Terry and Ervin Becker) and her parents. She is survived by daughters (Susan Beamon and Christine Feldhus), son-in-law Kevin Feldus, grandchildren Crystal German, Kristina MacLennan, Kyle Feldhus (Christina Feldhus), Christopher Feldhus, Konner Feldhus, and great grandchildren Selma MacLennan, Jonas MacLennan, Logan Feldhus and Lilly Feldhus.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 W 20th St, Greeley, CO 80634, US, on October 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. An inurnment will at Ft. Logan National Cemetery also on the 5th at 2:00 pm.
