Mary Grace Tyler, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was born on March 19, 1945 in Colorado, the only child of Henry and Grace Deibel. Mary graduated from High School in Fort Lupton, Colorado. She married the love of her life, James Tony Tyler, on November 22, 1971 in Brighton, Colorado. James adopted Mary’s two kids, Clyde and Faye, so they could share their last name and so that they would always feel apart of his family.
Mary was an avid sewer, knitter, and quilter. She loved the detail-oriented work that came with fiber crafts. Mary was a devout Christian; she was a member of the Salvation Army church and the Calvary Chapel of Greeley. Above all else, Mary loved her family. She would spend as much time with her grandkids and great-grandkids as possible. She loved to cook for them; she was always smiling and laughing when with them. She was known for her legendary liver and onions. Mary and James went on some amazing cross-country road trips together in their twin 6-cylinder RV. They drove out to Maryland, West Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina (specifically Bakersfield, where James grew up). Mary was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived in life by her husband, James Tyler; daughter, Faye (Joe) Soucie; son, Clyde Tyler, Grandchildren, Shawntina (Sydney) Addleman, Jordan (Terrance) McCann, Tyler Soucie, Amber Soucie; great-grandchildren, Lillian McCann, and Sofia McCann.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Grace Deibel, and grandson, Nicholas Addleman.
