Aunt Melba was like a second mother to me and my siblings. So many cherished memories of growing up living so close to her and her family and all the mischief 9 kids could get into. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. She will be grealy missed but never forgotten.

I loved taking care of Melba (Doris), and will miss her greatly. She always put others needs before her own. She was a special patient. We are thinking of Martha, Herb, and the entire Ikenouye family. Margaret Sheehan, RN, OCN

My memories of Melba is as one of her customers for whom she reworked numerous furniture items, all to the highest of workmanship standards. I so enjoyed her warm and friendly manner and her suggestions for improving the quality of the result. What a special woman she was.

Oh Aunt Melba, I am not sure what I did to deserve such a beautiful, loving and caring person in my life, I have been so blessed because of you. I can remember, all the times I cried to go home with you; the meringue pies you made which were the best; to you doctoring me up after I slid down a tree, learning how to sewing my first apron and the list goes on. Our visit this past summer remains fresh in my mind as we had such a nice long visit and the hug was forever. As these memories will be cherished and shared forever, there was no better gift then the unconditional love you shared with everyone and will live forever in my heart. And I will forever feel that hug around me. Right know you are doing what you do best and that is looking after all of us, our guardian angel Aunt Melba. You are LOVED so much and we will be together always in our hearts.
