Mike attended schools in Greeley, attending John Evans and Heath Junior Highs. He graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1972. Mike excelled at playing the drums in high school. This skill led him to play in country western bands with his Mom and others.

Mike loved to fish and camp. He loved to sit around the camp fire where he was most at peace. He enjoyed working in his workshop making all sorts of things for his family. He also loved the Denver Broncos. Sometimes he would yell at the TV when things weren’t going well, and sometimes he would jump for joy that they were playing great and winning.
Mike worked at a variety of jobs including Wright & McGill, his first job after graduating from high school, Monfort, Hesco Ford Rebuilders, he worked as a painter, and as a building maintenance rep for a variety of apartment complexes thru out Greeley, one of which was Bonell Good Samaritan. Mike retired in 2014.
