It is with deep sadness and pain that our family announces the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew & cousin. Off and on during his adult life Michael suffered with bipolar tendencies and on Sunday, January 6, 2019, his demons claimed his life but his spirit will live on.

Michael was born and raised in the Greeley/Evans area, attended Greeley West and worked in the construction field during his adult life.

Mike is survived by his parents, Eusebio and Mary Eloise Segura, a brother Adam (Kat), numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved 4-legged companion, JC the cat whom he rescued during the 2013 flood.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 followed by visitation from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. all at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley. Following the service a reception will be held at the Evans VFW Post 6624, 3501 State Street, Evans, CO.

In lieu of flowers, family will accept donations.

As Michael would always say before bedtime, “Goodnight mom and dad, sweet dreams, God bless you, love you.”

Growing up with Mike, I always remember him with a smile, and kindness in his heart. He was always a GOOD guy. I have a lot of memories with him riding his bike when we were younger. I have peace to know that he had a loving family that was there for him. I'm only sorry that after school we drifted apart. Mike, I will keep your family in my prayers. RIP my friend.

Mike was a good friend to me during our time at John Evans Junior High. He always worked hard at track practice, which may seem like a random thought, but his work ethic inspired me to run a little faster. He forever wore an encouraging smile. For what ever reason, I think of Miami Sound Machine songs when I think of Mike as well. I am regretful for not trying harder to reconnect. Rest in peace, my friend.
