Miguel A. Salazar, 86, passed away June 19, 2017 at his home. He was born November 9, 1930. A father, a husband, a Korean War Veteran who helped raise his three children, who in return gave him many beautiful grand and great-grandchildren.
Mike as he was known amongst his family and friends was a stern but loving man. After returning from service, Mike worked and retired with thirty years as a miner. Of Mike’s many passions in life, he most enjoyed playing poker and becoming a decorated billiards player.
He enjoyed rooting for the Utah Jazz and Colorado Rockies. Let us not forget the five super bowls he was able to enjoy as a fan of America’s team the Dallas Cowboys!
Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Mike is loved and will be missed.
Inurnment will take place in October in Cañones, New Mexico.
