Mrs. Parke lived in Greeley for five years. Her family then moved to LaSalle, CO. She attended all her school years in LaSalle, graduating in 1959. After graduation she went to work for Bayle Manufacturing. She then worked as a ward clerk at Weld County General Hospital. In September of 1959 she married Brent Parke. They lived in Greeley for two years before leaving for Ft. Sill, OK in 1961, where her husband served in the United States Army. Upon leaving the service they moved back to Greeley where she lived for the remainder of her life. In 1971, she went to work for Greeley-Evans School District 6. She worked at Heath Jr. High, Franklin Middle School, and Maplewood Middle School where she retired as an office manager after 31 years in 2002. She always found enjoyment in the little things in life. She would always say that life was too short not to enjoy whatever the day offers. When her daughters were in school, she was always helping out as a room mother, chairman of anything that was asked of her and followed with them through their high school years. She loved time with her family, especially her grandchildren where she always attended their school events and their athletic functions. Her family meant everything to her, and the frequent family get-togethers with her husband, children, grandchildren and all the summer and Christmas get-togethers she had with all her brothers, sister, and family.
Survivors are three daughters: Sheri Lock and husband Rod of Granby, CO; Cindy Stedwell and husband Bruce of Greeley; Shawna Boyle and husband Dan of Evans. Five grandchildren: Brock Burchi and Myndee Cardoza, Mallory and Morgan Stedwell and Kelsey Matthews and husband Tony. Three great-grandchildren: Hope Cardoza, Gabriella Cardoza, and Sadie Matthews. One sister: Lucille and husband Gerald Reid of Ault, two brothers: David and wife Jackie Berry of Grand Junction and Gene and wife Marci of Ft. Collins. She had many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
