

Nancy was born on December 7, 1955, to Kenneth and Pauline Nagel. She grew up surrounded by a loving family and carried those values of kindness, dedication, and compassion throughout her life.
Nancy was a devoted wife to her husband, Stewart Kato, and a loving mother to Paula (James) Bay and Nicholas (Andrea) Kato.
She took immense pride in her family and found her greatest joy in being a grandmother to Cole (Lorelia) Bay, Morgan Bay, Kristin (Tyler) Garrett, and James Kato. She cherished every moment spent with them and leaves behind countless treasured memories.
She is also survived by her siblings, Steve (Laura) Nagel, Beverly (Dennis) Lehman, Diana Courtney, and Michael Nagel, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Nancy dedicated her professional career to State Farm, where she was respected for her professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic throughout her career.
Nancy's Christian faith was an important part of her life and brought her comfort and strength. She found peace in the words of the Lord's Prayer from the King James Version of the Bible:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Nancy will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her kindness, strength, and generosity touched many lives, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Pauline Nagel.
A funeral service celebrating Nancy's life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026,1pm, at Allnutt Funeral & Cremation – Macy Chapel, 6521 West 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the love she gave so freely.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Nancy's love, faith, and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
