

Nicholas Andrew Roark, 40, of Fort Collins, CO passed away at home on July 30, 2016. Nick was born in Sacramento, CA on June 7, 1976 to parents Eric and Jane Roark. In 1980 Nick and his family moved to Germany where his mother was a teacher for the United States military abroad. From 1983 to 2012 he moved many times; Texas, Philippines, back to Germany, California, Texas again, then settling down in Fort Collins. While in Germany, he graduated high school from the International School of Dusseldorf in 1994. In 2011, Nick graduated from Kaplan College, West Hollywood, CA, with his A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology. His career is highlighted in California; working at UPS, Pendleton Marine Core Base, and OC Sports and Wellness. He was an avid athlete. He loved playing basketball in Germany; getting to play games internationally all over Europe. In his free time, he would skateboard and play basketball. Messages of condolences have been received from many countries of the world, including Norway, Germany, England and several states. No matter how long it has been since Nick has seen them, all his friends remember the funny, light-hearted, and kind guy that he was and remained up to his very last day. He lived life on his own terms, enjoying every single minute. He loved and was loved immensely by his family and will be missed greatly by all those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his parents, Eric and Jane Roark of Fort Collins, CO; brothers Jonathan (Teresa) Roark of Claremore, OK, Evan (Christy Martinez) Roark of Claremore, OK; aunt Joanne Farmer of Fort Collins, CO; three nephews, Erlend, Thor and Lars and numerous cousins. He is preceded by his grandparents, Faye and Everett Roark of Denver, CO, Minnie Bruskrud of Denver, CO, and Chester O. Bruskrud of Fargo, ND.
