 Your son was one of my closest friends and I will always keep my memories close to my heart. I miss him dearly and I know that if I still miss him, you guys are still mourning too. 
 You are always in my prayers and I just hope that I can help in any way possible or needed. I keep Nick in my heart and my thoughts at all times and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This is heartbreaking news. I'm thinking of our many conversations about our kids and I will always remember how proud you are of Nick and the love you have for your son. This side of heaven, we can't begin to comprehend why something like this would happen.   Nick touched many lives with his life and perhaps many more with his death.  My heart goes out to you and Chris.  May God give you the strength to carry on.  I pray for  comfort and covering in the days, weeks, and even years ahead.
