My most sincere condolences to you all in the loss of Patricia.  I know you do not know me well, but I have a very strong remembrance of her that I wanted to share.  When she broke her arm a few years ago, I had the privelege of being on call and thus got to meet her. It was later in the evening when I got to see her-at least 8 PM or so.   After I evaluated her, described her xrays, and offered her surgical intervention, she nodded intently, and asked a couple of appropriate questions.  She was mentally on the ball and demonstrated this.  I left her room after letting her know we would be doing surgery the next day.  She agreed and I thought that was the end of it.  The next morning on rounds I came in about 7 or so, so I suuppose she had had 10 hours or so since I had seen her.  I assumed most of that was sleep; however, after saying good morning, she says to me, ""Bill Guttersen says you are a straight shooter, so I guess you can go ahead and do my surgery.""  She checked me out on the fly!  I laughed, and said, ""Great, I feel better about this as well.""  She grinned from ear to ear.  Due to the long recovery from her nerve injury and the fracture, I saw her for some time, as you are aware.  She was a beautiful person, whom I feel fortunate to have run across in my practice. Pat was the best!  I feel very blessed to have known her & to have grown up around her family.  She was such a considerate and caring person.  She was a great friend to my mother for so many years.  I will miss her.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.     Paula Frank

Your Mother was such a beautiful warm and generous person. I will always remember the story that your Mother and my Mom were in the hospital at the same time and our Dad's were having a bet to see who was born first (Kyle or me). Pat has always been such a wonderful dear friend to our family, and of course a lifelong friend of my mother Lola. I can remember hearing them tell so many funny stories of them beginning their friendship as cheerleaders together in high school, as well as all of the trials and triumphs together throughout their lives. Pat has always meant a lot to us, and we are grateful to have known such a fun, caring, generous person that was literally someone you always wanted to be around. She definitely made an impact in my life, as I know in many others. Our family's thoughts are of course with the family. Pat will truly be missed.

AJ and I were deeply saddened to hear about your loss.  Patty was such a beautiful woman...both inside and out.  Her friendship with my parents was very special to both of them.  The morning after my mom died, I remember Patty standing in my dad's kitchen filling his refrigerator with food and assuring him that he would be okay.  That was who she was...compassionate, caring, and a very loyal friend in both good and hard times.  Patty will be missed.  Her many acts of kindness bestowed not only on our family, but on the entire community will not be forgotten.  Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
