She was born on January 1, 1955 to her parents. Her father, Homer McDaniel and his wife adopted Patty when she was a baby along with her other 10 siblings. When Patty got older, she started to work for Schaffer doing peace work and absolutely loved it. She was very proud of making her own money and working everyday. Her love for work made it possible for her to shop weekly for "today's special" and gave her the freedom to purchase items that made her very happy. Patty worked as much as she could, sometimes only taking one day off.
Patty came to live with her cousin Lola Clayton and her husband Jerry in September of 1997. She had changed very much, but was still very proud of all of her favorite things. As she got older, Patty started living at the Center at Centerplace in Greeley where she made many friends. She and her friends would talk about anything they wanted. Lola and Jerry always made sure to visit Patty while she was living there and would meet her at the bird cage. Patty made an impact on many people and was always excited to meet new friends.
Patty's greatest joy was shopping. She loved to shop and many times, she would go to the bargain box at second hand stores and find just what she wanted. Patty's second favorite place to shop was Walmart. She found special treasures there and if she liked something, she would make sure to get it in every color! Patty loved buying Snoopy items, socks, pants, shorts, and tops; many of which still had the price tags on them. She especially loved buying purses and billfolds and had to have a matching billfold with her purse. She also bought new necklaces and and bracelets every month.
Patty enjoyed making colorful beaded necklaces and was always trying to decide what color she would make the next one. She loved to color in artbooks, and liked to play bingo, sometimes playing twice a week.
She will be missed by all of the people she called her friends, and especially by Lola and Jerry. They had a very important bond and Patty would call them every morning. Her laugh, voice, and love of talking about animals will be missed everyday by Lola. Someone would know if they were a special friend to Patty if she called them "Bulldog."
"I love you Patty." - Lola and Jerry
