My condolences to the Guthner family. Over 20 yrs ago Paul came to my cabin in North Park & gave me a photo he had taken of the cabin showing the snow depth.  In talking he learned that I was a Detective on the Denver Police & Paul knew numerous Denver Police officers.  We also discovered that his aunt and my mom were school mates.  In the following years Paul would stop by to visit whenever he passed by.  Paul was always on the move so this was frequent, sometimes for dinner, or just to show what he had bought at the gun show.  Paul's visits were never boring as he was always angry with someone, usually a politician, and he could fill me in on what was going on in the county.  Paul will be missed.

Paul Guthner was my hero. I was very lucky to have been named after him. He was one of a kind, a rare breed for sure. I am very glad to have been part of his life. Can you imagine how many stories around the world have been started with ""I know this guy Guthner in Colorado""? I always said that I figured that he could go anywhere in the world and have a friend in a matter of minutes. I will always remember his friendship, his humor and his weiner dogs....

I loved Paul's spunk and humor he brought laughter and joy when he came over to my mom and dad's [Betty and Dave Cowling] home near Walden. He will really be missed by our whole family as well we all loved him.

To the Guthner family,
Our prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.  I used to work and hunt with Paul and our good friend Bill Buckner.  He will be missed by all.

Please accept our deepest sympathy.  Paul was a very special person to us.  I worked with Paul for over 25 years, but I knew him since I was in high school.  He was a dear friend of my parents and I first met him at the Colo. Springs dog track.  We became close friends and used to hunt together.  We will miss him.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

To the Guthner family we offer our deepest sympathy.  We loved your father and we will miss him.  We were blessed by his friendship & humor. He affectionatly reffered to our family as the ""Griswalds"" which provided us with much laughter.  He was a fine man and will be fondly remembered.  
He was a true charactor, one of a kind!
