

As a child, Percy lived in Burwell, Nebraska, where he attended schools. In 1945, he entered the United States Army and served as a Medical Technician at the 385th Station Hospital in Nurnberg, Germany. After discharge, Percy lived in Sterling, Colorado, where he was in the painting business with his brother. In 1964, he married Doris (Glidewell) Stewart and moved to Greeley. They were members of St. Paul’s Congregational Church. He was employed by NCMC for 26 years as a maintenance painter. He retired in 1990.
Percy is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Ken) Baldwin of Windsor; three sons, William (Karen) Stewart and Alan Stewart all of Greeley and Sammy (Amanda) Nelson of Golden; four grandchildren, Cheree (Andrew) Adams of Oak Harbor, WA, Jeanette (Kevin) Drysdale of Enterprise, AL, Mara Capron of Kalambaka, Greece and Brie Shay of Greeley; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, Joann Jones and three brothers, Gerald, Arden and Donald.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
