

Phoebe attended schools in Greeley: Maplewood Elementary School, Heath Junior High and Greeley High School. She then graduated from Monte Vista High School in Monte Vista, CO in 1958. After graduation she attended one semester at Adams State College in Alamosa, CO. During college she worked at JCPenneys.
While in college, she met Larry Alan Worley. They were married on November 26, 1959 in Monte Vista. They later divorced. Larry passed away on February 9, 1987.
In 1975, Phoebe moved to Longmont and resided there until 2017, when she moved to a Greeley assisted living facility and then to Fairacres in 2019.
Phoebe was a devout Christian and attended Resurrection Fellowship in Loveland. She also was active at a Hispanic church in Longmont.
During her marriage to Larry, Phoebe was a farmer's wife on their potato farm. She taught herself Spanish so she could communicate with the workers. This also came in handy during her working career. She was a Spanish translator at Flagstone Quarry in Masonville. She also worked at the Longmont Turkey Plant, Hine Snowbridge in Boulder and Neodata in Boulder. She enjoyed working in the Media Department at Resurrection, where she ran the camera at services. She then would travel to Louisville to have the recorded service played on their public access network.
Phoebe enjoyed traveling, her favorite place to travel was Hawaii and she, her sister, Judy and their mom were able to take a trip there in 1999. She also enjoyed gardening in her earlier years and loved flowers. While on the farm she raised orphaned lambs and calves. She was a very nurturing person.
Phoebe is survived by her sons, Skylar Ray Worley, Sr. and Michael Aaron Worley; sisters, Judy Rogers and Donna Jean Shaw; three grandchildren, Jordan Worley, Clayton Worley and Skylar Ray Worley, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Lee Darrington, Sr.
