I think about you all the time, there usually isn't a day that you're not on my mind and it hurts. I miss you, so much. You were an amazing person, and I'll miss you until the day we see each other again. I love you, rest in peace, Rachel.

Lynn,Keith,Joshua,and Ben, I am so sorry for your loss. Rachel was so happy the last time I saw her at Wal-Mart. She came up from behind me and surprised me and we both laughed because I jumped. She looked so good and said that she was doing good and working a lot. We talked some about old times and what a joker she had been in 3rd grade. I will always remember her like she was that day, so happy and open. I can not understand your pain, but know that your whole family is in my prayers.

Lynn I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now!! I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are loved & are being lifted before the throne in prayer! May God give you comfort and a peace that passes all understanding!

My Dearest Rachel,
It is September 12th, six days after I learned of your death.  I am writing you this letter from Tia??Ts house, I am sitting by the pool, thinking of the first time we met.  It was here at Tia??Ts that our lives were forever changed.  We were close immediately, nothing forced.  Loving you was like breathing, it came naturally.  We shared our stories, our lives, our bedroom, our clothes.  We were sisters.  My eyes were your eyes, your pain was my pain.
When we left each other you never felt far away.  You were always in my thoughts and you became a part of my soul.  I trusted you and you trusted me.  There was a deep understanding of the choices we had made.  There was a great healing in each other??Ts love that completely erased previous losses we had both felt.  We both understood that our journeys would not always be hand in hand, and when we left each other we both knew that there was a safe place we could go??""to each other.  
You saw more, experienced more in 22 years than some people see in a lifetime.  Facing your demons is the most difficult opponent in life.  I know that because I faced them too.  That is why you trusted me, that is why I wanted to protect you.  You inspired me to change my life-I bet you never knew.  I thought that if I took the first steps that I would then be in a position to help you take yours.  You faced your demons Rachel and you were not able to overcome them.  Sweet sweet Rachel.  How dare anyone ever think that you had the tools, the aptitude, the resources to face them on your own. 
You never professed a love for God openly to me.  Rachel, the way you loved me, the way you loved those around you-it was unconditional.  You understood the power and the meaning of unconditional love-it was built in you.  You loved the way God asks all of us to love.  Unflinchingly and without restraint.Over and over and over again.  Your anger and sadness just hid that from you.  Losing you is a loss, the greatest I have suffered.  I also feel peace because I know that you have traded the darkness you felt for Eternal Light.  
I feel , sometimes, overcome with sadness when I think of all the events you will not celebrate.  The achievements you will not know.  The enlightenment that comes with old age and wisdom.  I will not question God.  It is clear to me why he sent you to this world.  You have changed my life.  I took advantage of your presence.  This I only realized when you were gone.  I learned from you, both in your life, and in your death.  I feel your spirit with me.  I will think of you every day for as long as I live.  I will Honor you by finishing whatever it is that I start.  I will Honor you by reaching out to those in need.  I will Honor you by accepting help when I need it.  Because of your light, my light now shines brighter.

Rachel was a beautiful person inside and out. She always made whomever she talked to smile and laugh. She was one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. It is heartbreaking to lose such a wonderful person from this cruel world but I know she is at peace away from any pain now. If there is anything that I can do, please don't hesitate to ask.
