

Rachel (Sintas) Quintana, 91, of Greeley, formerly of Milliken, Colorado, passed away April 12, 2015 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1923 in Des Moines, New Mexico to Richard and Margarita Sintas.
Rachel married Lewis Quintana on December 8, 1945 in Clayton, New Mexico. They moved to Milliken and lived there for 50 years and then moved to Greeley. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnstown and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley.
Rachel loved to cook specially for her family. She enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband Lewis. Rachel and Lewis loved playing cards especially 31 with their good friends the Aguliar’s and Lovato’s. She loved the Bronco’s and Rockies. She was very fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren Ava and Carter.
Rachel is survived by her sons Fred Quintana (Priscilla) and Richard Quintana; grandson Johnny Quintana (Kayla) all of Greeley; granddaughter Stacey (Eric) Miller of Longmont; brother J.B. Sintas (Celina) of Spearmint, Texas; sister Helen Sintas of Clayton, New Mexico; great grandchildren Ava Quintana and Carter Miller; numerous nieces and nephews. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband Lewis; son Johnny; her parents; three sisters Nellie Martinez, Delores Ulibarri and Lena Meastas; two brothers Richard Sintas and Eloy Sintas
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 20 with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 20 both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
