Rafael was raised and educated in Greeley. He graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1988. After graduation, he worked at Jiffy Lube in Ft. Collins for 15 years where he was the manager. He later worked in the oil fields.
Rafael attended a Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses Church in Greeley.
Rafael enjoyed working on cars and listening to rock music. Queensrych was his favorite band. Above all was his love for his family, especially his children and granddaughters.
Rafael is survived by two sons Alex (Crystal) Alvarado and Andrew Alvarado; father Ignacio Alvarado; two sisters Grace Alvarado and Isabel Rodriguez and two granddaughters Alliana and Aspen all of Greeley. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother Christoval Alvarado.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
