Age: 75

Tribute: Ramona Romanita Salazar was born in Laredo, Texas, to Gregorio Moncivais and Aurora Cruz.
Mrs. Salazar was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She was much admired for her strength and love that she gave to all who knew her.
For Mrs. Salazar, her family came first. From the time she was very young, she helped raise her brothers and sisters. She dearly adored her children and the love of her life, Ramon Salazar.
The story is told that Ramona and Ramon met while they were still in their mothers' wombs. Their mothers, Aurora and Florita, had a brief meeting when they were both pregnant in 1931. They met again 20 years later when Ramona brought Ramon home, accompanied by his parents, to ask for Ramona's hand in marriage. The couple seemed to be bound to be together months before their births. Ramona and Ramon have been soul mates for 56 years. Their partnership remains until they meet again in heaven.
Mrs. Salazar will be dearly missed by her loving husband, her children and everyone she touched and loved. She died Wednesday at her home in Windsor.
