

Randolph Chancellor Seay, 86, of Greeley, passed away at Hospice of Northern Colorado on April 6, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. Randy was born February 17, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to Randolph and Mary Blanche (Fleming) Seay. He married Barbara Ann McLaughlin in 1958. She passed away in 1981. He later married Elizabeth “Betti” Jean Woolworth on December 27, 1987 at the Mad Russian Golf Course…during a blizzard!
Randy spent a significant part of his youth living with his grandfather in Round Hill, VA. He enlisted in the Naval Reserves and was assigned to the submarine division. He was discharged from the Navy on July 25, 1950 and joined the Marine Corps in Washington, D.C. on July 26, 1950. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on June 1, 1952. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He attended Youngstown University on a Tennis scholarship. His first job out of college was with the Internal Revenue Service in Reno, NV.
Randy went to work at Weld County Lumber in 1971 and also worked at M&I Engineering in Fort Collins. He owned and operated RCS Tax Service in Greeley until he retired at the age of 75.
Randy is survived by his wife Betti Seay of Greeley; children Kari (Cathy Radebaugh) Seay, Patti Seay, Karla (Lee) Boughey, and Kelly (Cyndy) Seay; grandchildren Levi, Dustin, Maggie, Morgan, Marcus, John and Matt.
A visitation will be held from 5-7:30 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Inurnment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
