

Reinhold Kohlert passed away November 23rd, 2018 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born September 8, 1953 in Hochborn, Germany to Adolph and Anna Barbara (Curth) Kohlert. “Reino” or “RK”, as he was so lovingly called, lived in Germany until the age of 8, at which time his family immigrated to the United States. Reinhold and his family settled in Windsor, Colorado where they worked in the beet fields owned by their sponsor.
Reinhold then moved to Berthoud, Colorado and Graduated from Berthoud High school in 1972 and attended UNC in Greeley to further his education. Reino proudly obtained his American Citizenship at the age of 20.
In 1977 Reinhold married Shelley Cadwell in Las Vegas, Nevada. They settled in Greeley, Colorado, and although they had divorced, they remain great friends to this day.
Reino worked at the Monfort meat packing plant and went on to become the head of Maintenance of Bonell Good Samaritan Society for 15 years. He then worked as a Maintenance Supervisor of the Weld County Housing Authority. Reino loved cars and sports. He coached little league football and softball. He also loved to play softball and racquetball in his spare time. If Reino was not either working or spending time with his children he would mostly likely be found “sorting” in his garage. To most people he was “Mr. Fix it.” not only did he help fix basically anything, he had the biggest heart and often gave what he had to help another in need. Reino also loved dogs and had many throughout his life.
Reinhold is survived by his Four Children, Tammy Kohlert and Tory Whitley (Philip) of Greeley, Tara Minick of Tyler, Texas, and Ryan Kohlert of Frederick, Colorado; Sisters, Rose Stevens (Larry), Monika Little (John) and Angela Johnson (Kevin); Nine grandchildren, Alex, Jeremy, Samantha, Alexis, Lacee, Victorya, Bethany, Devin and Madison;.Two Great Grandchildren, Dakine and Scarlett; His best friend, Shelley Kohlert and various cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf and Anna Barbara Kohlert.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
