She spent her early life in the small farming community around Cornish, Colorado, with her three brothers Eugene (Gene), Leslie (Les), and Lloyd. After Areatha’s father passed away, Pearl remarried and bore a daughter, Bonnie Hunt (Anderson). Areatha married Donald John Allmer on September 23, 1951.
Together they had three children David Donald, Deborah Lyn, and Diana Dale. In 2015, Areatha received her official name of “Three Feathers” from the Northern Cherokee Nation. Areatha went home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers Gene and Les, two children David and Deborah, a grandchild David James “Barnes” and a great grandson Michael. Areatha is survived by a daughter, Diana Romine, a brother Lloyd, a sister Bonnie, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous dogs.
Visitation from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Stoddard Funeral Home. A celebration of Areatha’ s life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home.
