Richard Warren Alm, 81, of Greeley, Colorado passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Westlake Lodge. He was born October 15, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Myrlan Stressenreuter and Katharine (Ryan) Alm. He was one of five boys.
Richard earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He lived their until 1973, when he and Mary moved to Colorado for work. Richard and Mary raised their son and daughter in Greeley.
Richard worked at both Aims Community College and the University of Northern Colorado libraries. He retired in the late 1990s. He then worked at various jobs to keep himself busy.
Richard enjoyed watching hockey (Black Hawks), football (Bears) and baseball (Cubs). He had an amazing memory for trivia.
Richard lived at the Greeley Place and later moved to Westlake Lodge, and was there until his passing.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Jacobs (Branden) and Michael Alm; best friend, Mary Linscome and two grandchildren, Vivian and Suzanna.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers, Myrlan, Herbert, George and Paul Alm.
