Dick was born January 21, 1932 at home in Windsor, Colorado to George and Viola (Jessen) Weinmeister. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1949. He loved to play basketball and watch sports on TV. After serving in the Air Force in Korea, he was introduced to Joanne Weber by a mutual friend. They married April 1, 1955 and their love for one another was admired by many. Dick worked at UNC in motorpool and transportation.
He and his wife traveled in their 5th wheel on many adventures with his sister and brother-in-law.
Dick is survived by his daughter, Layne (Doug) Craven; son-in-law, Mike Goetzel; sister, Dorthy Cagle; three grandsons, Brian (Jennifer) Goetzel, Matt (Kaja) Goetzel, and Justin (DeeDee) Ginther and five great-grandchildren, Sydney Goetzel, Harper Ginther, Jessie Ginther, Wesley Goetzel, and Anna Goetzel.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Luann Goetzel; parents; and brother-in-law Johnny Cagle.

Joanne Marie Weinmeister, age 89, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.
Joanne was born November 6, 1932 in Buffalo, Wyoming to George and Bernice (Hyer) Weber.
She attended a technical school in Denver and was the administrative assistant to 4 Presidents at UNC. Joanne married her husband Richard " Dick" Weinmeister. They were married for 67 years. Joanne was a member of St. Paul Congregational Church and was active with multiple organizations, committees and clubs over the years. She will be missed by family and the many close friends she made over the years.
Joanne loved to travel. She would go with Richard's sister and her husband in their 5th wheel. She was able to visit 48 states, Canada and Europe. Joanne's family absolutely loved her special meals, especially her butterball soup and kraut burgers.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Weinmeister; daughter, Layne (Doug) Craven; son-in-law, Mike Goetzel; sister, Bee Adami; three grandsons, Brian (Jennifer) Goetzel, Matt (Kaja) Goetzel, and Justin (DeeDee) Ginther and five great-grandchildren, Sydney Goetzel, Harper Ginther, Jessie Ginther, Wesley Goetzel, and Anna Goetzel.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Luann Goetzel, her parents and her three sisters.
