Robert S. Claypool

Robert Stephen “Bob” Claypool, 71, of Greeley, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born on April 19, 1944 in Neptune, New Jersey to Lon Carl and Ann Louise (Ketler) Claypool.

Bob was raised in Fair Haven, New Jersey with his younger brother. He attended Christian Brothers Academy in Colts Neck, New Jersey and La Salle University in Philadelphia.

In 1967, he married Holly Plasterer. In 1977, Bob was transferred through State Farm to Greeley. He worked with them until his retirement after 37 years of service.

Bob enjoyed collecting coins, shooting pistols and had recently become a budding artist. Education was very important to him and he instilled that wisdom in his children. He was always giving great advice and would be the first to make you laugh.

Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was compassionate, loving, caring and thoughtful.

Bob is survived by his wife, Holly; daughter, Laura; son, Chris (Karen); brother, Bruce and grandchildren, Parker, Serra and Greyson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 followed by Liturgical service at 12:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
