Bob was a wonderful colleague who always thought outside the box and would think in the big picture.  He was man who would be very helpful and thoughtful to others.  He challenged his students and others to think beyond the ordinary.
he was a true friend and inspiration.  I will miss him dearly.

We are all so very sorry to hear the news of Bob's passing. He was a dear friend and we know how deeply he will be missed. We feel very privileged to have known him for the time you both lived in Temecula. He always did such a great job on our income taxes, professional in every way. We will always remember Bob's big smile too. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Carol, I am so sorry this has happened to such good people as you and Bob have always been. Having you as neighbors, friends and tax consultants was wonderful. I always felt happy when I would come over to talk. I missed you when you moved and still do and I will miss knowing Bob was always there. Words cannot express how we feel about you and Bob.  From when we first met to help you finance your home in Temecula, we knew you both would become dear friends.
Until we met Bob, we never knew that CPA's had real personalities...  and Bob had just that!

Carol and family, we were saddened to hear of Bob??Ts passing.  I always enjoyed coming over to your place in Temecula to have our taxes done.  Michael had spoken how kind Bob was when Bob did his return free of charge when he was in Iraq.  Bob will be missed.

Carol and family:  We're so sorry to hear of Bob's death.  We do have such  fond memories of times with Bob -- 8 of us staying overnight with your family in Michigan on our way to Quebec, visits here in Colorado, of course.  And visits in Temecula, the grapefruit orchard stories, the dogs,and a horseback ride for our grandughter, Katrina.  We treasure them all.

I send my deepest sympathies to Carol and all of Dr. Bob's family.  I met Bob as an accounting student at Eastern Michigan University back in the mid-1970's.  His nurturing force got me through his course and ultimately into the accounting profession.  For that alone I will be eternally grateful.  
To say he was my mentor is an understatement.  Over the years he has provided counsel, guidance, job leads, wisdom and most of all a vision to see the world in a larger way.
I too will miss him.  His love of life and humanity will remain in my heart forever.

Just wanted to express my sympathy to the McCabe family for your loss. I knew Bob in the mid to late 1960's when he was a CPA keeping my dad's financial books for his business in St. Clair Shores. My sister died of leukemia in 1968 and I remember Bob coming to my sister's funeral and helping console my parents. He was a man of faith back then and I'm sure that only got stronger over the years.

Dear Carol and family, you have my sympathy over Bob's passing away. I believe that more than twelve years ago, Bob accepted Jesus as his saviour and was miraculously healed of the cancer for which at that time doctors gave him a prognosis of only a few months to live. I work at Peek'n Peak with Karen and Don. Father's are play such a special role in a daughters life that their impact is never forgotten. May the many wonderful memories each of you have bring you peace and comfort at this very difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss Karen and Dan. I was so blessed to be part of your family while I was in Ann Arbor and grateful for the love and support of your dad. I will always treasure that time and the abiding love we have shared since then. All I can say is--Where have all the liberals gone? Bob's humor and passion were infectious whether about Michigan, politics, music, animals, all things Irish, but most of all his family. And whose idea was it to keep Doritos in the freezer? I'll miss him.

Dear Carol, we were so saddened to hear of the loss of your dear husband Bob. Ourhearts ache for you. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were such a special part of his well-lived life.

Dear Carol and family - My thoughts and prayers are with you!  I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to meet Bob during his time at Colorado State.  He was very kind and freely gave of his time to provide career advice.  He and Carol also generously supported my daughter's Girl Scout cookie sales!  Bob always had a smile on his face!

I don't remember ever meeting Uncle Bob but I know he knew about me (his sister, Beverly's, granddaughter). When I was younger, he knew I shared his love for horses and sent me the book ""The Horse Whisperer"". Our love and sympathy are with Carol, Dan and family, Karen and family and all those who were touched by our Uncle Bob McCabe's loving presence. He was only 11 years old when I was born, and I have such fond memories of him! He was always smiling, laughing, joking, enjoying his family and life!He was a consumate Irishman, and we are happy that he explored our McCabe roots, visiting Bancroft, Ontario and Ireland. We so admired his intellect and ambition. He dared to live his dreams, moving to the land he loved, marrying his soul mate, riding his horses, taking such pride and pleasure in his children and grandchildren. We looked forward to his Christmas newsletters with his humor, comments on the government, and the beautiful photos of his family and animals. I am so glad I saved the last one. I read it again yesterday to my husband, and cried.We are grateful that Bob's travail is over, that he is free, and that his very DNA lives on in his progeny. May you all be comforted by the love he gave you, the experiences you shared and the memories you will keep always.
