He graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1953 and the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1957. He married Carmen Thompson in Dell Rapids South Dakota on August 13, 1955. The couple had two sons, Michael and Tom, and a daughter, Mary. The family relocated to Greeley, Colorado in 1957, where Roderic started his dental practice. He was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a member of the Weld County Dental Society and the Colorado Dental Association. He was also a member of the Greeley Civitan Club, the Greeley Jaycees Club and the Greeley Elks Club.
His hobbies were sailing, skiing, traveling, camping and driving and caring for his 1953 Corvette. He loved to play the piano and learned to play by ear. He was particularly fond of Dixie Land Jazz performed by local musicians. Roderic was also an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen, sons, Michael (Molly) Kirk and Tom (Cindy) Kirk, daughter, Mary (Pat) Demchok, grandchildren, Mathew, Madeline, Mary Catherine and Angelina Kirk, Molly (Tim) Arnott and David (Kylee) Demchok, great grandchildren, Adelaide, Evelyn, and Ottalie Arnott and Dawson Demchok.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Clara, and sisters, Phyllis Westbrook and Carol Hensel and a brother, Kenneth Kirk.

A burial will occur Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. A Memorial Service will occur Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A reception will occur Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
