Rosalie Ann Stickel
October 17, 1948 – February 19, 2021
Rosalie Ann Stickel, 72 of Greeley, was born in Kenmare, North Dakota, on October 17, 1948 to Clarence and Gladys Butz. Rosalie was the youngest of her 2 sisters, Annette Dunseth of North Dakota and Kathy Bay currently in Colorado. The family moved from North Dakota in 1950 to Ballard, Washington, where they lived in the greater Seattle area. Rosalie died on Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home.
Rosalie's childhood was mostly spent in Ballard and then Everett, Washington, where she eventually graduated high school from Cascade High in 1967. After graduation Rosalie moved around the United States from New Jersey to San Francisco, California, and then Hawaii, where she met her husband Dennis in 1970. She moved back to Everett, Washington, in 1971, and there she had her first son, Kevin. Rosalie and Dennis were in the Seattle area when they had their second son, Justin, in 1974.
Rosalie worked as a custodian for the school district, and had managed a candy store. But mostly, over the years, she was a homemaker and mainly took care of the kids schooling, sports, and making sure they were well taken care of at all times. Rosalie's first grandchild, Courtney, was born in 1993, and her second grandchild, Chantel, was born in 1994.
Rosalie's husband, Dennis, passed away in 1996 and she decided to move from Washington to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she lived for a few years before moving to Colorado in 2000 where she met her boyfriend, John Kroskob. Rosalie lived with John in Brush, Fort Morgan, and then Greeley, Colorado until she passed.
Rosalie was a caring and loving person. She loved all of the many dogs she had throughout her life. She touched many lives and relished the people who were part of her 72 years of life.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis; her son Justin; and both of her parents.
She is survived by her son Kevin; nieces Beth, Denelle, Jenny, and Kellie; her sisters Annette Dunseth of North Dakota and Kathy Bay of Colorado.
A special thank you to Denelle Maynard, Beth Hall, Annette Dunseth, Kathy Bay and Courtney Stickel. Love you and thank you!!

I went to high school with this fun lady. Always full of smiles Kids would make fun her name, I stuck up for her. Told them to leave her alone. And if you have nothing to say that's nice don't say nothing at all. She sounded good the last day we talked. Now she's safe in heaven with the rest of her family. I will miss her. She so wanted to live for our 1st great granddaughter to be born in April. I am sorry for Courtney and Kevin as I know they dearly miss their grandma and mother. My prayer's are with you all.❤
