

Rosemary Ince Brown, of Estes Park, CO, formerly of Chicago, IL, died at Good Samaritan Village on October 21, 2016 at the age of 98. Rosemary Ince was born January 20, 1918 in Lafayette, IN. Her parents were Robert and Pearl (Strebe) Ince. She graduated from Morton High School in Richmond, IN and in 1940 received a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University. While at Purdue she met Jack Stilwell Brown and they were married on September 28, 1940. After raising her 3 children, Rosemary was a substitute teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, teaching Home Economics and grammar school. She was an active member of the Methodist Church and Methodist Women’s Club, as well as a Girl Scout Leader, Tri Hi-Y Leader and Red Cross first aid instructor. Her hobbies included traveling, Duplicate Bridge, square dancing, outdoor sports and nature study. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children: Sons Bruce (Marlene) of Glen Haven, CO, and Allan (Marsha) of Miami, FL, and daughter Ann Brodie (J. Douglas) of Corvallis, OR. She is also survived by sisters Marjorie Dickie of Cummings, GA, Dolores Elstro and Dorothy Snodgrass both of Richmond, IN and granddaughter Rebecca Anderson (Jerome) of Chicago, IL, and great granddaughter Sabina Anderson of Chicago, IL.
