My sympathy to the entire Campion family.  I will remember Russ in my prayers.

So sorry to hear of Russ's passing. What a loss. 
Russ hired me to work for him the summer of '88 building docks and a sailboat lift, etc. He was a great guy and all around great to work for. Wish I could have seen him in the catamaran he built. I remember all 3 siblings, and having lost a brother many years ago myself I offer sympathy to his sisters.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Russ. He and I were classmates at Regina High School. He was definately one of the good guys and I'm certain he will be missed by many. I was blessed to have known him.

To Jan - I'm so sorry to hear of Russ's death.  The article in the OWH was so touching and I'm so glad you ""pulled it off.""  My thoughts and prayers are with you, dear one.

I was shocked to hear of Russ's death.  I have many fond childhood memories of Russ from Scott #5, Regina High School and  just living east of town.  My sincere sympathy to all of you.  My thoughts and prayers are with you. Although he left you much to soon it sounds like Russ lived life to the fullest and achieved his dreams. Thank you for the opportunity to have shared in Russ' journey. He was an extraordinary man. When we were tearing up he was comforting us. It has been such an honor to have known all of you. Russ will always be one those people I will never forget throughout my career. May God keep you close and comfort you during your sorrow.

We have been following Russ' illness for some time but it still comes as something of a shock that he is no longer with us. We are grateful for our visit with Carolyn, Russ and Jan tucked in at Freeland Court on a recent beautiful Rocky Mountain day. 
We hope that your pain will be eased by having had the time to grieve together, comfort one  another, and leave nothing unsaid. And, to Mrs. Russell Campion, you will have the ultimate memory of your very special wedding to warm you forever.
Nothing will ever replace what you have lost but we hope time will bring you peace.

It is always sad when someone loved by so many leaves us.  We now know that Russ is no longer struggling or suffering. May his love of life live on within those who loved him so much. May your fond memories eventually bring a smile to your face. Lean on each other and time does make it easier, but the memories do not fade.

Jan I am so sorry for your loss.  Though I never met Russ, he must have been a wonderful man.  Please know that you have been in our thoughts for many weeks and we miss you terribly.  Take your time, feel the power of our prayers and love.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Russ.  We read with great interest each of the entries in the CaringBridge Journal always hoping that science and prayer would help Russ win the battle against cancer.  His four-year battle tells more about the ""inner"" strength of Russ than any words here. 
Russ was with us for only a brief 62 years but accomplished so many of his dreams including influencing the lives of family and friends. His spirit will live within each of us as we remember him in our prayers.
Our deepest sympathies go out to family and friends in this sad time.  Know that we share your sorry.  
May our tears of sadness soon be replaced by smiles when we remember the fun times we shared with Russ when he was with us.

We were truely blessed to have been both friends and neighbors with Russ over the years. The boat was an inspiration to many of us as we watched it come together. Russ will be remembered for his kindness and political jokes. He will for sure sail on his next journey.
