

Ruth completed her education in Sterling, Nebraska, and began teaching in the local area after graduating from high school. On June 24, 1949, she married James McVay Nealy. The couple subsequently relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she was employed by the Elgin National Watch Company. In 1959, they made Greeley, Colorado, their home.
Ruth played a key role in assisting Jim with the management of the family trucking business until 1996. Subsequent to this period, they embarked on extensive travels throughout the United States in their motorhome, successfully visiting all fifty states as well as numerous Presidential Libraries.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Steven (Colleen) of Eaton, Colorado, and Scot (Donice) of Greeley, Colorado, as well as her granddaughter Jerica and great-granddaughters RyLynn and Loryssa.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, James Nealy; her brother, Norman Eilers; and her parents, Edward and Lora Eilers and most recently her nephew Jon Eilers. She was a dedicated member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Greeley, Colorado.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Grace Pointe Continuing Care Senior Campus Assisted Living Facility in Greeley, Colorado, for their compassionate care and support provided to Ruth during her final years.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at Allnutt Macy Chapel, located at 6512 W 20th St, Greeley, Colorado, 80634. Interment will be a private family ceremony at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley Colorado.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America in memory of Ruth Elaine Nealy in care of Allnutt Macy Chapel.
