

Sandra Lee "Sandy" Anderson, 83, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026. Born in Crosby, Texas, she was the youngest daughter of the late Fred Henry and Louise Irene Lintelman. Sandy graduated from Crosby High School in 1960 and Baylor University with a BA in Elementary Education and a Minor in Religion In 1964. While at Baylor University she met and married Charles Albert "Chuck" Anderson.
Sandy taught elementary education in Saint Louis, Missouri, New Orleans, Louisiana and Austin, Texas for several years. When Sandy stopped teaching, she served as a church secretary for 17 years and a medical transcriptionist for 5 years. She was passionate about serving her Lord in whatever capacity He called her too. She formed many special bonds which turned into an extended family with the congregations she served. Upon her retirement from church secretary, she was honored with special recognition for her years of service. Sandy and Chuck loved to travel, watch NFL football, garden and camp. Sandy was a loyal fan of Baylor Lady Bears Basketball team and Baylor Football. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, sewing, studying her Bible, playing the piano, and cooking. Most of all she adored her family and relished the time she spent with her children and grandsons.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years: children daughter, Lydia Christine Lyons of Wasilla, Alaska, and son-in-law James Taylor Lyons, of Wasilla, Alaska; daughter in law, Rhonda Kay Anderson, of Greeley Colorado; and daughter, Deborah Rene Anderson of Greeley, Colorado; grandsons, Devin Lee Lyons of Wasilla, Alaska, Cody James Lyons of Wasilla, Alaska, Chaz Andrew Lyons of Wasilla, Alaska, and David Charles Anderson of Greeley, Colorado, her brother Fred Henry Lintelman of Grapeland, Texas, and her beloved four legged companions Katie and Precious.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Charles Mark Anderson, her sister Mary Louise Dunks, brother-in-law Will S. Dunks, her sister Ruby Elaine Marek, brother-in-law Marvin Marek, and sister-in-law Hazel Lintelman.
A viewing for Sandra will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Allnutt Macy Chapel from 6pm-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at Living Grace Baptist Church on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 1:00 pm with Internment following at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
