Sandra Thomas, a resident of Greeley Colorado, formerly of Spokane Washington, passed away on Thursday February 15 2024. Preceded in death by her father, Lawson Lane DeLauder, she leaves behind a large family devastated by her loss, including her mother Theresa Marie DeLauder. She is the loving wife of Zachariah Thomas, married 5 years, and the devoted caring mother and mother – in – law of Ashly N. Farris and Christopher Snelling of Ault, CO; Talen D. Farris of Ault, CO; and stepmother of Ayla Thomas of Evans, CO. She is the baby sister and sister – in – law to Marie Schmidt of Spokane Valley, WA; June and Anthony Minge of Sulpher Springs, TX; and Joan and Aaron Slutzky of Fleming, CO. She has numerous great nieces and nephews.

Sandra was born on March 21 1973 in Spokane Washington. In 1981 the family moved to Alaska; sparking her lifelong love of nature. The family would later move back to Washington where she would graduate from High School in 1991. She married Eric Farris on December 31 1991 and was blessed with her first child, Ashly, born in the summer of 1992. The young family would then move to Colorado, giving her new mountains to explore and deepening Sandra’s affinity for nature. She continued to grow her family in 2000 with the birth of her son, Talen, bringing a burst of energy and excitement to the family.

Sandra spent countless hours supporting her children in all of their numerous passions and activities; fully embracing her role as a devoted mother and empath. During her life she would nurture and teach countless lessons to all who listened and she was never afraid to learn lessons of her own. She has been a strong voice, leader, and confidant for her family; always eager to dive deeper beneath life’s fragile surface. With her marriage to Zack on July 30 2019 she became a proud stepmother to Ayla; welcoming personal growth and the challenges of a blended family. Sandra has always been a free spirit and a wanderer at heart, never happier than when she was traveling and experiencing all this world has to offer with the people she loved. Sandra Thomas will always be loved, respected, and remembered by those lucky enough to know her.
