Sara Olvera de Morales

Sara Olvera de Morales, lovingly known as “Ama,” passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on March 2, 1945, and lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by her family and the community she cherished in LaSalle, Colorado.

Sara was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Gustavo Morales. Together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and hard work. She is survived by her seven children: Martha Colmenero, Gustavo Morales, Gloria Morales, Robert Morales, Norma Godinez, Anabel Ramirez, and Marco Morales. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

A proud homemaker, Sara found joy in creating a welcoming home filled with love and laughter. She was happiest tending to her yard, visiting yard sales, and lending her caring hands to help clean and beautify the spaces around her. Butterflies, which she adored, will forever serve as a reminder of her gentle and graceful spirit.

Sara will be remembered for her selflessness, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to bring light and warmth to those around her. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and in the generations who follow.

A visitation for Sara will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd St, Greeley, CO 80631. A burial will occur Friday, August 29, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Mizpah Cemetery, 12837 Weld County Rd 32, Platteville, CO 80651.
