Saul Herrera

Saul Herrera, age 81, of Johnstown, Colorado passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on May 3, 2020, at his home. He was born on October 23, 1938 in Rosales, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Fe Herrera.

Saul married the love of his life, Isidra Herrera, on January 6, 1962 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. They were married for 58 years and raised six children.

Saul was a farm hand for most of his life. Saul loved to work around his home, doing a variety of tasks. Saul was known for keeping a neat yard and a full garden, two things that he was always proud of. For Saul, family was everything. Whether it was trips down to Mexico or holiday parties, his family was his number one priority. Friends and family members always knew when Saul was around because as soon as he walked into a room you could hear him whistling.

He is survived by his wife Isidra and children Elena Sanchez, Maria Manriquez (Manuel), Saul Herrera Jr. (Kathryn), Hector Herrera, Esther Trujillo (CT) and Jesse Herrera (Cathi Jo). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
