Shirley was born on February 23, 1952, in Greeley, Colorado, to John Silkis and Helen Kling.
She is survived by her life partner and best friend, Art Gallegos; her son, David Scott Harris; her daughter, Stacey Oster; her grandchildren, Shaylah Pattison and Keelan Oster; her great-grandchild, Maggie Pattison; her sister, Donna Harper; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Virginia Lou “Ginger” Silkis; and her precious infant daughter, Michelle Suzzette Harris.
Shirley was a graduate of Greeley High School. She went on to become a successful long-term business owner, operating a commercial and residential cleaning company for many years.
Shirley was a sweet soul in the truest sense; someone who found joy in the things that matter most: the laughter of family gathered close and the simple beauty of a sunset on any given day. She had a gift for appreciating life, and those around her couldn’t help but see it a little more clearly because of her.
