Shirley Magdelano Kelley

Shirley Magdelano Kelley 77, of Greeley, passed away December 31, 2014 at her home. She was born December 22, 1937 in Greeley, CO to Frank S. and Rose (Trujillo) Magdelano. She married Michael V. Kelley on July 31, 1985.

Shirley graduated from Greeley High in 1957. She worked as a seamstress for Bailey’s, worked at Monfort, then as a caregiver until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church.

Shirley enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, dancing, gardening, animals and the Broncos. She loved Elvis! The family felt like they were at Graceland whenever they entered her home. She loved her family and friends and made friends wherever she went. She was loved by all. She loved to travel, music (she had met several celebrities), and loved her faith.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Kelley; sons, Dennis Mefford and George Pearce; daughters Elizabeth Mefford Nicoll and Gwen (Matthew) Arguello; brothers, Pete, George and Mike Magdelano; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rose Magdelano; sister, Elizabeth Mudrow; son-in-law, Kenneth Nicoll and several Uncles and Aunts.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 A.M. with Memorial Mass to begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
