I knew of you Shirley through your daughter Janice and although we never met in person, it seems like I actually did know you because Janice would talk to me often about you. The last time she came to me was last Monday morning to say you were in the hospital and her worry was quite clear; you were very ill. 
Shirley I applaud you for holding on until Janice could be there with you at your last moments to say good bye. I know that meant so much to both of you. 
I want to also tell you that you have a very caring and compassionate daughter who surely inherited those traits from you. 
May God comfort you all during this most difficult time.

I was a good friend of your brother, Garold, during high school and remember your dad and mom quite well, and you too, during all the basketball times I shared with Garold.  I last visited them both in Greeley while my parents were still alive and was glad I was able to spend some time with them  (in 2004). Janice and Gayle, I am sorry but I just learned of your mother's passing and won't be able to attend the service.  She was a lovely lady and I have dear memories of our friendship with both of your parents on Kahil Street in Ft. Lupton.  My prayers are with you and the rest of your family.

Gayle and Jan I am so sorry for this huge loss. Their is nothing I can say to help you get through this rough time. I wish I could be there. Your mom was a wonderful talented person. Some of the needlework she did was amazing. I also remember your dads paintings.They were really good parents , and you were really lucky to of had them.Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Although I only met you once Shirley, the love you have was evident, and will continue to shine through your children, and those who know and love you.  May God's love surround you.
