Sophie Hall, 79, of Greeley, passed away at Hospice of Northern Colorado on September 30, 2014. She was born March 30, 1935 in Simpson, PA, to Alex and Stella (Holowak) Dorosh. She married Loren Dale Hall on October 5, 1957 in Newburg, New York.

Sophie graduated from Fell High School in Simpson, PA. She moved to Greeley in 1964-1975, then to Longmont until 1988 when she moved back to Greeley. After graduating from high school she joined the Army where she met her husband Dale while stationed at West Point.

Sophie enjoyed being an Avon representative for many years and later worked for Bennett’s Cleaners.

Sophie was very active in her church and it was a very important part of her life. She enjoyed her grandchildren and watching all types of sports especially the Broncos.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Vickie) Hall, and Christopher (Shannon) Hall. She was one of 13 children and is survived by one sister, Sonja Petak, Simpson, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Natalie Grant and Sydney Ann Hall.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 11 of her siblings.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 5, 2014 at St. James Orthodox Church, Ft. Collins. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to the Hall home following the interment service.
