

Susan E. Conn passed peacefully in the morning of Oct. 18, 2025. Susan was born to Kate and Robert Ewbank in Kimball, NE. May 4th, 1932. Her family lived in Grover, CO, Laramie WY, and she graduated from high school in Lyons, CO in 1950. After graduating from CU Boulder in 1954, Susan had a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher. She taught in Denver, CO, Cheyenne, WY, and Greeley, CO. Susan was very active in P.E.O, Chapter FZ, a 40-year member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and First Congregational Church activities, as well as knitting in the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Susan volunteered as a library assistant in the Weld Library District. Well into her 80s. Book club, antiques group, quilting and sewing were also activities she enjoyed, as well as baking and preparing delicious meals. Her cinnamon rolls were especially popular. After retirement, Susan and Jim shared adventures traveling the world, writing their autobiographies and had a love of playing bridge. Susan had a wide circle of friends and loved them all.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband James Conn, daughter Pam Parker, and Pam's father, John Parker, who died of a brain tumor before her birth.
She is survived by her brother David Ewbank (Roberta), niece Linda Ewbank and family, daughter Alice Conn, sons Colin Conn (Sue) and James Herreid.
She treasured grandchildren Adam Tijerina, Colin Conn, Tyler (Hillary) Conn, and Quinn (Erin) Conn, and their children.
Family, faith and friends fulfilled Susan's life. She maintained a positive attitude throughout her life and greeted everyone with her beautiful smile.
Susan will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.
