Sybil A. Hartshorn

Sybil Arlene Hartshorn, 79, of Windsor Colorado, passed away March 30, 2016 at Windsor Health Care. She was born May 20, 1936 in Eaton, New York to Benjamin ad Clara (Westcott) Wightman where she was raised and graduated from Eaton High School.

Sybil then married Vernor N. (Tom) Hartshorn on September, 24 1955 in Lebanon, New York. After their marriage Tom and Sybil moved with their family to Windsor Colorado. In and around Windsor, Sybil worked as Licensed Practical nurse for several years in a local nursing home and private home care as well.

Sybil enjoyed collecting knick knacks and dolls. She was a very disciplined and strong person that was devoted to her family. She was loved by all and was like a second mother to many of her children's friends. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver. Sybil loved her family without exception.

Sybil is survived by her two sons Larry Hartshorn of Greeley CO, Roger Hartshorn of Severance CO, two daughters Patty Shahan of Queen Creek AZ, Edie Rowsey of Columbus GA, and a sister Edie Russ of Ithaca NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, both parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters and her beloved grandson Jeremy Hartshorn.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
