

Theron “Ted” Glover Sills, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away at the Greeley Village Senior Center on March 2, 2024. He was born on April 9, 1936 to Charles and Lucina (Glover) Sills in Newton, Kansas.
Ted was a 1954 graduate from Newton High School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas. He completed his graduate degree at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. He went to medical school at the University of Kansas where he met the love of his life, Caryl Dillon. Ted married Caryl on August 22, 1960 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served in Korea as a captain and a doctor. Ted practiced Psychiatry at Walter Reed Hospital and in Greeley for over 50 years where he had his own practice. He was a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Rotary Club of Greeley and Atomic Investors. Ted and Caryl had one son, John.
Ted was an avid golfer and toured many courses. He also loved skiing, and would frequent the slopes with his good friends, Bill and Dee Allnutt. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Beebe Draw Gun Club, the Eagles Nest Hunting Club and a member of the Greeley Country Club. Ted enjoyed serving as a ranch hand and riding horses in Wyoming and Colorado. He was a loving husband, father and son and will be fondly remembered in the community by his friends and associates. He was also a “sourdough pancake specialist” to his family and friends.
He is survived by son, John Sills, son in law, Matt DePinto, his sister, Diane Regier, nephew Brook Dillon, nephew, Toby Weas and niece, Molly Treadwell.
Ted was preceded in death by his loving wife, Caryl Sills, who passed in 2022, and his parents, Charles, and Lucina.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Allnutt Funeral Service – Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, at 1:00 p.m., a reception will follow.
