Thomas was the former mayor of Evans and also retired as a realtor.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Cynde R. Bruner; his puppy, Maggie; mother, Shirley Bruner; brothers, Dan (Ruth Ann) Bruner and Jeff Bruner; brother-in-law, Dan (Cheryl) De Mitri; nieces, Hannah Bruner, Jenny (Tyler) Elder and Dawn De Mitri; nephews, Blaine Bruner, Derek Bruner, Daniel De Mitri; great-niece, Olivia Elder and great-nephew, Cooper Elder.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bruner.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.
