Thomas Franklin Paintin, 32, of Evans, Colorado passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home. He was born May 12, 1989 in New Bern, North Carolina to Clarence Thomas Paintin and Karen Lynn (Steward) Paintin.
Thomas grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, later moving to Cowdrey, Colorado. He ranched in and moved to various towns. He was a talented handyman and could do about anything. Thomas had a deep love for ranching and the life of a cowboy. He enjoyed breaking horses and riding bulls.
Thomas was very creative and loved to write poems and draw. He also loved fishing and tinkering and fixing virtually anything. He was able to visualize many of his projects. Thomas enjoyed cooking a huge number of different meals. He would help anyone in need and was selfless.
Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and nieces and nephews.
Thomas’ favorite saying of encouragement to all was, “Oh, it ain’t that bad…”
Thomas is survived by his mother, Karen Paintin of Evans; father, Tom Paintin (Becky) of Iowa City; sisters, Amber Ozzello (Robbie) of Tiffin, Iowa, Sarah Paintin and Destiny Ashley (Mike) both of Evans and Shaelynn Willford of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and seven nieces and nephews, Taylor, Dane, Taytum, Payton, Thayne, Brently and Lyam.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Carolyn Steward and Carl and Ellen Paintin, two aunts and one uncle.
A Visitation and Celebration of Thomas’ Life will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
